Consistent and reliable

I've been using Autodesk products for years, mostly AutoCAD and Revit. This time I renewed my Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection subscription. Just like my previous renewals, it was a smooth process. I didn't run into any surprises, which is exactly what I look for. The automatic discount for renewing popped up as expected too. That consistency is why I keep coming back.

Good experience overall

I bought a yearly subscription for Fusion 360 last month. The website was easy enough to navigate to find what I needed. Payment went through without a hitch, and I got the download link pretty quickly via email. It took about 15 minutes to install everything. I had a small question about licensing, and their support chat was helpful, got an answer in about 10 minutes. The software works as expected, no performance issues so far. I'm happy with the purchase.

Smooth purchase, slight delay

I purchased a new subscription for Maya a couple weeks ago. The checkout was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear pricing. My only minor gripe was that the email with the download link took about an hour to arrive after payment confirmation, which felt a bit long when I was eager to get started. Once I had it, downloading and installing was easy. The software itself is robust, no complaints there. Overall, a good value for the features.

Are there ever actual coupon codes for Autodesk MX? Or is it always automatic discounts during sales events?

C Cody 2 months ago
Almost never seen a manual coupon code. It's usually automatic discounts when they have a sale like Buen Fin or Hot Sale, or if you're eligible for an edu discount.

Nah, forget trying to find a coupon code. They just apply discounts automatically on their site during specific promos. Or for student stuff.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows about student discounts for AutoCAD on the MX site? Like, is it actually free or just a huge discount?

S Sarah 2 months ago
Yeah, it's actually free for students and educators. You just gotta verify your student status. I did it last year, super easy.

Can confirm, got it for free. Just make sure you use your school email or have some proof of enrollment ready.

Anyone know if I can pay for my Revit subscription in installments on their MX site? Or is it always a one-time charge for the year?

L Lisa Torres 3 months ago
I'm pretty sure it's a one-time annual charge for the subscription. I don't recall seeing an option for monthly payments, at least not directly through them.

I pay annually for AutoCAD and haven't seen installment options. Might depend on your bank though if they offer something like 'meses sin intereses' for large purchases?

how good is the support for autodesk products if i buy from the mx site? like, if i have a technical issue, will it be in spanish?

T Tom M. 2 months ago
Yes, they do offer technical support in Spanish. I had an issue with my license last month and the chat support was fully in Spanish.

Yeah, definitely in Spanish. It's a big company, they have local support. No worries there.

Thinking of getting a year subscription to Fusion 360 but also need Maya. Is there like a bundle or something for creatives that makes it cheaper?

T Tom 2 months ago
They have collections, like the Media & Entertainment Collection which includes Maya, 3ds Max, and some others. Might be worth checking that out instead of individual subs.

I think they call it the 'Media & Entertainment Collection'. It usually works out cheaper than buying two separate programs if you use a few of them.
